Siege, Gambit or Spell?
So you looking to more versed in The Chronicles of Merlin? Well this guide is all about attacks. Here we will give you the main points when it comes to understanding attacks. Normal Damage
Who uses this Damage?
Normal Damage is used by both Siege and Gambit users. However it is the main focus of Siege Units.
What Attributes are important?
For Normal Damage (Siege Units) it is important have a high level of Bravery.
What Gear is important?
For Normal Attacks it you need to focus on Weapons.
In order of Importance what effects my Normal Damage?
1. Gear(Your Weapons and the Enemy’s Armor)
2. Research(Your Tempered Steel and Enemy’s Plate Mail)
3. Hero Attributes(Your Bravery vs. Enemy’s Bravery)
4. Formation (Your Serpent Formation vs. Enemy’s Holy Cross , Wedge or Trident)
Anything else I need to know?
These are the most reliable attacks as they do not use Morale or anything else. They can be blocked or dodged.
Gambit Damage
Who uses this Damage?
These are used by Gambit Attack user only. There are other Gambits that are Defensive and ones that reduce Moral, but those do not need upgraded Gambit Damage.
What Attributes are important?
For Gambit Damage it is important to have a high level of Tactics.
What Gear is important?
For Gambit Damage the most important item are Horses!
In order of Importance what effects my Normal Damage?
1. Gear(Your Horse and the Enemy’s Cloak)
2. Type of Gambit
3. Morale (Will need Priests or Flag Bearers to help increase)
4. Research(Your Chivalry and Fortifications)
5. Hero Attributes(Your Tactics vs. Enemy’s Tactics)
6. Formation (Your Mallet Formation vs. Enemy’s Wedge)
Anything else I need to know?
These types of Damage rely greatly on Morale, therefore you might want a Support Hero nearby to give these Heroes extra moral. These attacks can be Dodged but not blocked.
Spell Damage
Who uses this Damage?
Spell Casters only.
What Attributes are important?
For Spell Damage it is important to have a high level of Magic.
What Gear is important?
For Spell Damage the most important item are Enchanted Items!
In order of Importance what effects my Normal Damage?
1. Gear(Your Enchanted Items)
2. Research(Your Alchemy and Enemy’s Book of Prayers)
3. Hero Attributes(Your Magic vs. Enemy’s Magic)
4. Formation (Your Oblique Formation)
Anything else I need to know?
These types of Damage rely greatly on Success. They also cannot be Blocked or Dodged.
