"Gear is the single most important factor in the game. The level of your gear directly affects how powerful your heroes are in battle. When in trouble, upgrade your gear."

This weekend only, upgrade your gear and you may win the prestigious title of Gear Master! There will be one winner for each category (Weapon/Mount) from each server. The winner will win 500 Gold and the official “Gear Master” forum badge.

To help you to win, there are two special conditions:
1. +50% Silver (+100% for S7) from Friday to Sunday,
2. NO UPGRADE COOLDOWN for the entire weekend!
Even if you don’t have the highest level of gear, you’ll still win Free Gold just for participating in this event.

Prizes:
For each server, there are two categories: Weapon and Mount. All submitted screenshots of gear will be ranked based on the gear level.

The Official Forum Gear Master Badge

1. For each server, the winner of each category will win the Official Gear Master Badge and 1000 GOLD.
2. Even if you are not 1st place, you will still win 400 Gold for entering the TOP 5.
3. No worries! Even if you don’t make it to the top 5, you will still win 100 Gold just for posting a screenshot and participating in this event!
4. For players level 60 and under on servers S1-S4, a special prize of 200 Gold will be given to the players with the highest mount and weapon (1 each).

How to Win?
For each server, there are two categories: Weapon and Mount. There are 2 steps to win:
1. Choose a weapon or a mount, upgrade that piece of gear as much as you possibly can! Gear with the highest level will win!
Remember: There is NO UPGRADE CD and +50% (+100% for S7) Silver during this weekend. Seize this rare opportunity and hugely improve your gear!

2. Take a screenshot of your chosen gear (screenshot must comply to the following standard). Upload it to the internet (via a third-party website) and post your screenshot to the designated thread.

If you are not familiar with how to capture a screenshot, how to upload it on to the internet or how to post it to the forum, read this guide.

Rules:
1. If two pieces of gear have the same level, then the piece of gear with higher attribute will win.

2. Rewards will be processed within 72 hours.
3. Your post must include your in-game-name, server address and the attribute and level of your gear in the reply.

Please Note:
There are two important lessons to consider when upgrading gear:

1. Use the correct Attacking Gear
In CoM, there are 3 different types of attacks: Normal, Gambit and Spell. Be sure to match your Hero to the correct piece of Gear. Giving a Normal Attack Hero a Mount would be a big mistake, as Horses increases only Gambit Attacks. Only upgrade Weapon for a Normal Attack Heroes and likewise for Gambit and Magic heroes.

2. Use Defending Gear wisely
For each formation, there are only a few heroes exposed to enemy attack initially. With the same amount of silver, it is better to use it all on one armor or one cloak for the “frontline” hero, than to spread your silver on upgrading multiple armors or cloaks.
